TRADING STRATEGY
HCM’s Managed Account Program is based on systematic, primarily short-term trading. It employs 10 different systems, with a combination of reversal and momentum techniques. The program is well diversified, trading 35 markets within 6 market sectors including: Energies, Currencies, Stock Indices, Interest Rates, Agriculture and Metals. Performance is not highly correlated with those of most other CTAs due to its systematic short-term focus and wide range of market sectors. The basis of HCM’s risk management also derives from its diversification among multiple markets, time frames, and systems. Careful attention is paid to correlations among different instruments and different system concepts. Research, using technical proprietary techniques, is ongoing and focuses on finding ways to improve risk management and finding unique, logical, and uncorrelated systems.
